| When you think of Alaska you think of cold, snow and the aforementioned eskimo variety. However, 36 Crazyfists are Alaska's first rock import. Fresh off of the tour with Machine Head and God Forbid as well as a stint at the download festival, 36 are well on their way to a prosperous career in the wild and wacky world of metal. Tagged as scr(emo) types of metal they don't put on a boring show. Their riffs and great stage presence truly rocked the crowd. A Snow Capped Romance is their latest effort and from this they played the song that everybody probably knows by now "At The End Of August" as well as "Bloodwork" and "Installing the Catheter". 36' lead singer Brock was really working the crowd. In the interview he was very calm almost shy, however he is as charismatic a frontman as any. |

| Candiria Prove They Are A Band To Be Reckoned With. July 7, 2004 I had heard many sing the praises of Candiria, a band from another hotbed for hardcore New York City. In the past I'd listened to a couple of their tunes, and even went to their site. It wasn't till tonight that I realize how good these guys really are. The riffs are powerful, the band is full of life and really puts on a great set. Lead singer Carley, doen't just growl, he sings melodies and raps. He's also very energetic onstage, soft-spoken when you talk to him in person. When I see bands for the first time I try to find bands that they emulate. It is difficult to really find how they sound like. I mentioned to Erika, Living Colour, God Forbid but they also have that NY Hardcore sound like Prong. It really is hard to try to put them in a class with other bands, so instead I'll put them in an elite class of their own. |
| 12 Tribes Get the Crowd Warmed up for 36! July 7, 2004 12 Tribes were entertaining too. The band has some good riffs and songs to carry them to the next level. Even though the crowd was not very recieving of them they put on a good show as well. |
