Coming from the Hotbed of Hardcore East is a band that is truly an "old school metal" band. Their latest release Insect Song was produced by young producing mastermind Ken Susi of Unearth. Insect Song shows the tremendous vocals of lead singer Shawn Gallagher as well as the superior musicianship of guitarists Oscar Gouveia and Jeff Saude.
In support of fellow east siders All That Remains and masters of the NY Hardcore/Thrash scene Prong, BTE showed that they are definitely a force to be reckoned with in the not so distant future.
Although I missed a lot of their set due to my interview with Phil of ATR, I did catch them "Fleshengine Breakdown" as well as the song "Weak And The Wounded". I was very impressed by Shawn's energy and the crowd reaction to their set.
