Drowning Pool
Review
Jason "Gong" Jones is Dave Williams replacement. However, I just don't think he fits.

Drowning Pool has been around for about eigh
t years and finally broke ground with their hit single "Bodies" in 2001.

However, after Dave Williams passing, the band was left lingering if they would continue on without Dave or disappear into oblivion like Snot and Sublime.

In late 2002, they answered that with the hiring of Jason and worked on their new album "Desensitized".

On this tour, it would be the first time i'd see the new Drowning Pool and I must say I really wasn't moved.
I feel Jason is a bit over the top compared to the late aforementioned singer. He even crowd surfed which is something I can't recall Dave doing. Nevertheless, even though Gong has a great stage prescence he doesn't mesh well with his fellow band mates.

I recall them to be high energy but, Gong seems better suited for a Van Halen tribute band than Drowning Pool. In fact, I really don't think Drowning Pool fit on this bill, but what do the people at MTV know anyway?
