"Thugcore brought to life by Sworn Enemy"
Thugcore is what Stillborn Records website calls the quintet out of Queens, NY called Sworn Enemy. During their set, they brought energy to the crowd definitely provong that they were a great representative of the new term "thugcore".

Led by the the vocals of Sal Lococo, this band has all the makings of a great metal outfit with great guitar riffs and anthem like tunes. Their last album with former label Elektra was produced by Hatebreed lead singer and MTV Headbangers Ball host Jamey Jasta who is also the president and founder of Stillborn Records.

The crowd responded well to the band's set, moshing when asked to and cheering when they performed their signature song from the album
As Real As It Gets Sworn Enemy. They didn't seem to miss a beat even though they didn't have a soundscheck and they had 2 replacements from the original lineup. Shawn Cox, SE's old bass player, replaced Mike Couls. Guitarist Mike Raffinello had also departed leaving a void that was also filled just for the tour.

Unfortunately, I missed Walls of Jericho because of my interview with Brann Dailor of Mastodon. The only thing I could say about them would be that singer Candace Kucslain is very energetic and the band certainly filled the opening slot nicely. Only caught the first half of the first tune, then I ran downstairs to meet Brann.

"Fear Factory Pleases the Crowd With Their Techno-Metal Sound"

Fear Factory's sound is one that is unmatched. Their hard-hitting riffs and vocals always set them apart from the rest. Burton C. Bell (vocals); Christian Olde Wolbers (bass guitar); Byron Stroud (guitar); Raymond Herrera (drums) makes the latest edition of Fear the greatest one. I've always thought of their sound is very techinical with a industrial like sounds with solid riffs and melodies. The guys from Fear never disappoint the fans, always bringing 110% to their set and entertainng even those less than hardcore fans like myself. Performing song's like "Linchpin" from
Digimortal and "Cyberwaste" and "Achetype" from "Archetype" the band brought a high energy to the crowd like they have in past shows.

In recent reports, FF will be back through on a tour with up and comers
Lamb of God and Children of Bodom. Click here for pix of Fear Factory from this show.
