Suprise, Suprise Gentlemen and Ladies; The girls from Canada do indeed put on a pretty good show.

This would be the first night of their tour with 12 Tribes, Candiria, and 36 Crazyfists in support and the crowd was treated to a damn good set.

This would also be the first time that I would see the gals for I'm really not a big fan, but I have followed their career.

Through their many lineup changes, squabbles and comparisons to Vixen or the Donna's the gals probably can label themselves as survivors.

With the edition of Lisa Marx on guitar it seemed to give Kittie a harder edge. Lisa can play her ass off and probably making diehard fans forget Talena Altfield.

However, the true star of these group is the bands fairly new bassist Jennifer Arroyo (pictured first from the right).  Jennifer not only is very talented (Played a five string that looked as if it belonged to Peter Steele) she is also very charismatic and got the crowd going at several junctions during their set.Jennifer is a crowd favorite. She did her own 2-3 minute solo and gyrated with her guitar.  My colleagues and I are taking bets on how long she lasts in the band since she outshined Morgan and Lisa on the stage.

Oh and about Morgan? I wish she would stop trying to sing. Morgan can play the guitar just as good as Lisa but her whiny voice is terrible and she needs to stick to the growling. I t's true that most metal singers are not traditionally good singers, but most of them can at least carry a tune. Maybe Morgan should try taking voice lessions or at least trying to develop a style like
Angela Gossow from Arch Enemy.

They performed songs such as "Spit" and their new song "Into the Darkness" from the new album coming out in a couple of weeks. Before leaving the stage Morgan told the crowd this was their last chance to"fuck shit up" but mentioned that it wasn't their hit "Brackish" that they were performing. Made us wonder if that wasn't her song. Anyways, the girls were pretty impressive they proved that they can play just as good as men even though their lead singer can't carry a note.
