BIO

I got into metal over four years ago, but I was raised with a lot of selection, so my taste extends greatly. I've had a talent for writing all my life, though it started with fiction stories, into short stories/fanfics, and eventually reviews.

Originally started out working promotion for very mainstream bands, such as Shinedown, Seether, The Used, and SOiL. I thought that was a pretty awesome thing until I got into the local scene a little less than a year ago. I was introduced when I joined My Space and got asked by a single band to help post their banner around the internet community. This instantly shot me off and within a week I'd found more bands than most people had added in a month.

I learned to cooperate and negotiate with the groups and realized the awesome feeling that went along with helping an indie band of young men and women. This soon expanded into a website for band news, which I deleted within a few weeks due to dis-interest, and then into a larger website (the Chicago Cord). Here I promote the local groups that I'm closest with and the big-label bands I am into most, changing it monthly. I began to attend more metal shows and started to review them from a naturally personal level, getting kudos for that sort of writing.

I continue to read and write alongside my promotion hobby, and have never had a bigger privilege than working with FourteenG. I hope this will help me reach my future goals.
