14g/FourteenG are committed to a project called Operation: X. The mission of Operation: X is to obtain enough signatures to restore MTV-X to it's original glory!
In case you don't remember or can recall MTV-X, it was a channel that was operated by MTV in 2000 - 2001 that played Hard Rock, Punk, and Metal videos 24-7. No goofy TV shows, NO rap... just VIDEOS. It gave fans a chance to see videos they wouldn't play in regular rotation on MTV. You could see bands like Slipknot, Cradle of Filth, Soil, Life of Agony, Corrosion of Conformity, Static-X, AFI, Disturbed, Danzig, Type O Negative, Project 86...to name a few. It was because of "X" that bands like Disturbed & Soil blew up and gained considerable recognition.
Currently, the only outlet for metal is Fuse/Uranium & MTV2's Headbangers Ball (which was taken off the air years ago, but was brought back due to popular demand)!
Let's show MTV that metal fans do care about seeing their vids on more than just a 2-Hour block on Saturday nights!
