Soulfly gives awe inspiring performance to their adoring public
By Karma E. Omowale

Considering I had never seen Soulfly play needless to say I was pretty excited.
The crowd's enthusiam never died down, bodies were surfing, wide circle pits were filled with sweaty, fist throwing youth and the front of the stage was lined with horn throwing, star-struck idolizing fans that sung along to every single word.

The biggest highlight was when vocalist's Max Cavalera's step-son Ritchie helped to sing Bleed.  Promptly after the song was over, Ritchie dove into the crowd and surfed for a minute before security pulled him out and away from the hordes of fans who were happily keeping him afloat. The rest of band turned out a world class performance as their signature sound resonanted through the venue; the guitars were sharp.

It was a great show, especially to see Max perform "Roots".  This premiere band is always a must see!! Speaking of a must see, click

Ill Niņo, On Fire
By Karma E.

For lack of better words Ill Niņo was HOT setting the HOB ablaze leaving not a soul still.
I have not witnessed a show as raw as this particular performance.

The band opened with their usual "If You Still Hate Me"; many other fan favorites were played and executed in true metal fashion hardcore.

Vocalist Cristian Machado garnered a cool look of white blanketed from head to toe.  From the looks of it, the Image Consultants did one hell of a job!  Before the song  "How Can I Live" Cristian shouted to the crowd, "I have  a Confession to make, Chicago, you're fucking BEAUTIFUL!"  The crowd went nuts.

Speaking of the crowd, Ill Niņo never let up from start to finish their audience was on their feet as there was a still person in the masses, including myself.  Their tour will be ending soon with less than 10 dates; however you need to see these guys next time they are in your neck of the woods..

Twelve Tribes Prove They Can Share Stage with Headliners
By Sharita Lumpkin

How can you be from the midwest and not appreciate a band from Ohio that rocks as hard as they guys?  This would be the second time I would see them and again they showed much promise.

The band is full of energy led but Adam Jackson, the band's charismatic frontman. The first time out Adam seemed to not connect with the crowd, maybe he was nervous.
This time he seemed more relaxed and got the crowd going.

One of my favorites "Venus Complex" seemed to be the crowd favorite. Even though they are farely new to the world of metal, they have shown they could play with the big boys.
