All That Remains was the side project of Philip LaBonte, the former lead singer of Shadows Fall. Not too long afterwards it became his full-time gig when Shadows found Brian Fair.
It's seems to have paid off for both band's because both are in the midst of getting their big breaks.
ATR was recently signed by Prosthetic Records, finished recording their follow-up to Behind Silence and Solitude (Produced by Adam D. of KSE) and got airplay on MTV2 Headbangers Ball.
The Massachusetts quintet definitely puts on a fabulous show. Oli (Degreed in Guitar) and Mike Martin are truly great guitar players and Phil is a classically animated frontman.
In the interview I asked Phil what metalcore means he said "Nothing, it's just about how you dress." Clearly ATR are not making making any fashion statements but they are confirming a place for themselves as just another great band coming out of the "Hotbed for Hardcore" east!
