Karma: Do you have a mantra?

Adam: No, I don’t have…yeah, no! I don't have one. [We all laugh]

Karma: Have you ever read the dictionary like a book?

Adam: Yes.

Karma: What’s your favorite word?

Adam: Delineate.

Karma: If not music then what?

Adam: Probably a professor of sorts. My IQ is up in the 170’s. I’d probably teach theories on why people exist, why women exist, especially. Not you two though...

Karma: Okay!

Erika: At least he's honest! [We all laugh]

Adam: Why the penis becomes erect! You know, things like that! [Laughs] Well I would teach about things that interest him. [Looks over at Dustin as he goes in the refrigerator to refresh his drink]. I'd ask all of the questions and find out all of the answers for him because he's too shy!

Dustin: [Shakes head up and down] Oh, wow! [We all laugh]

Karma and Erika: Oh, that's good!!

Karma: What has been your most defining Hopesfall moment?

Adam: Oh, let’s see, a few years ago, I got really drunk for an entire tour. That was nice, but that wasn’t a defining moment, because I don't remember it. One moment? One moment, God.

Dustin: One moment, Killswitch Engage in the studio!

Adam: I’ll tell you a secret? I was so high in the studio and we had the monitors in there and we put in CD’s and they sounded beautiful, there were just these incredible monitors! Doing Killswitch Engage and shit, and we'd just rocked out. We'd smoke a roach and fall asleep and all kinds of things.

Karma: Ok, things you cannot live without?

Adam: Music, maybe if you put a cute girl on the other side of the island that likes me every once in a while but I talk to her and end up looking stupid and she ends up falling in love with another guy on the island. Probably Dustin, but, yeah then she'd just ignore me! That would be rad! Because apparently, I can’t live without that and marijuana to help me cope.

Karma: [Laughs] Alright, my best friend’s a _______?

Adam: Deer Hunter, no that’s my favorite movie! [Laughs] My best friend is my brother. And uh, some of my bandmates! [Looks down at the floor]

Karma and Erika: Ohh!!!

Erika: That's sweet!

Adam: I try! [Laughs]

Karma: First job?

Adam: [Pauses] I'm trying to think. It was like a record store chain.

Karma: How many candles did you blow out on your last birthday and on wAdam Baker of Hopesfall (Photo: Erika Kristen Watt)hich date?

Adam: I didn’t blow any candles out because I didn’t have candles, cake, or a lighter. My last birthday, I think I was in Europe actually. I think I was drunk on a candle or something, so it worked out really well. [We all laugh]  But I don’t drink, that’s the thing. You know what I mean? [Snickers as he looks down at his cup]

Karma: Ok... [Laughs]

Adam: You know what I mean! I don't usually get drunk!

Karma: That under a normal circumstance, you can handle your intake.

Adam: Right, not excessively!

Karma: Right, so which date?

Adam: The 11th of June. I’m sorry, I’m 22.

Karma: [Laughs] If you could commission a band to a cover song, which song would you chose and who would cover it?

Adam: Give me Isis, with Brian Eno and it would be an instrumental off the first record [Here Come The Warm Jets], I forget the name of it. It's the fourth track, [Cindy Tells Me] and it would be rad, I guarantee you.

Karma: Okay, what’s the first thing you think of when you wake up?

Adam: Can I go back to sleep or do I have to wake up and do things today?

Karma: [Laughs] Okay, Top 5 favorite movies?

Adam: Dammit, I didn't expect this question! I said Deer Hunter! [Laughs] Amadeus is number 1 with Tom Hulce, there’s a lot of really good movies. Taxi Driver, is really good, other than that... I mean I'm not a huge De Niro fan!

Karma: What? You're not a huge De Niro fan?

Adam: Oh come on! Like he was good in every single movie?

Karma: [Laughs] No, you have a point!

Adam: He's like, "Hey, guess what, I'm in this movie, I'm De Niro!" It's like, "Yeah, that's great man!" Real incredible!! I mean Taxi Driver ruled!

Karma: Yeah! It did!!

Adam: I like The Pianist that was awfully good. I dunno, I like a lot of movies but there are 99% of them that contradict themselves and that makes them good movies.

Karma: If you could take a bath with anybody, who would it be and what would be your bubble bath soundtrack?

Adam: A bath.

Karma: Yes a bath.

Adam: With anybody?

Karma: Yes, with anybody!

Adam: I pick her! [Points to his girlfriend, Angela]

Karma: Okay, now pick your Bubble Bath Soundtrack.

Adam: Oh shittttt!! [Says in a low, deep voice] It would be Brian McKnight’s first record, because it's just so good. Brian Eno Music For Airports, and Telfon Tel Aviv Map of What Is Effortless.

Karma: Awesome selection. If you could ask these Speed Round Questions of anyone who would it be? Someone you'd like to find out a little more about.

Adam: [Long pause] No comment.

Karma: Okay...that’s interesting. Thank you very much, Adam.

Adam: Thank you! That was fun!!
