2009 will go down in Lazarus AD’s music history as
their breakthrough year for sure!
Their first official tours started with Viking warriors
Amon Amarth and continued into an opening slot for trash Titans TestAmenT. Metal Blade’s newbie young bloods are
bringing on a full over zealous assault and
are not ashamed to show ya how it’s done!
Bassist/vocalist
Jeff Paulick enthusiastically
sits with
FourteenG on a tour stop not far from
their hometown of Kenosha, WI.

What do you get when you mix some Berkley graduates, a Monster Magnet and Doro Pesch’s touring guitarist?
One hell of a jam band! Enters
Cycle of Pain. Black Label Society’s mad man, bassist JD DeServio received a well-timed opening slot opening for BLS on this year’s Powerfest in Chicago. This new (yet old) collaboration is a refreshing fuck ensemble with some down home hospitality that’s easy to get into.
Enough shovelin’, hear for yourself.

I want to be Enslaved!
Finally making it back to The States in continued support of 2008’s
Vertebrae for Indie Recordings, we found ourselves wanting to be Enslaved all over again. We weren’t alone! Vocalist Grutle Kjellson and guitarist
Ivar Bjørnson were gracious enough to catch up with FourteenG and fill us in on what we’ve missed since they first graced our presence.

Any one of you who knows FourteenG knows our interviews with tourtured soul Peter Dolving (lead screamer for The Haunted) is always a noteworthy, news shattering carnival. The brutally truthful frontman doesn’t disappoint in this installment. Looming uber success has always plauged The Haunted. The opening of 2009 starts off with reunion tours, “Best Of” compilations and assorted life changes leaving The Haunted wondering ‘What’s next?’ We’d like to know too!

The Techno-thrash sounds of Meshuggah
have long amazed listeners and intrigued musicians
since their conception.
have Hence, this misunderstood powerhouse has been in a league of their own for almost 20 years. The soft spoken drummer
Tomas Haake explains their accomplishments to date via Nuclear Blast’s release of ObZen.

Literature, a healthy imagination and an angelic voice reciting the Marquis de Sade’s devilish tells makes for a titillating
Cradle of Filth tale entitled Godspeed on the Devil's Thunder. Although the carousel of changing musicians occurred again,
the core remains the same with
Dani Filth leading the charge.
Plus,
Dani fills us in on the premise of a book he penned called
The Gospel of Filth: A Bible of Decadence & Darkness.
What a lead in.
