On July 4^th, 2006 we at FourteenG blew out our second birthday candle.

And we'd like to thank each and every one of you all for sticking with us, you rock beyond words! \m/ *_* \m/ In honor of our 2nd year of existence, we will are spinning as guest DJ's on July 23^rd at Exit. This year, there will be giveaways from Metal Blade Records, Nuclear Blast, Prosthetic Records, Century Media, and Chicago's very own Victory Records which will be available by the DJ booth as well as birthday cake.

Come one, come all and celebrate with the Terror Triplets (Karma E., Sharita L. & Erika Kristen) as we spin a toxic mix of death, black, and real metal - honoring your requests as well! Drink Specials  - * $2 PBR  *  $3 Effen Vodka. Of course this is a 21+ event, and as much as we'd like to have you all there, we don't make the rules! However for those of you that will be unable to attend our soirée, we will post photos at a later date. You can view pix from last year's event below. For those that were a part of the celebration they definitely helped to celebrate more than just this country’s independence. They helped to commemorate our webzine’s 1^st birthday, the day four pissed off fans that got sick and tired of reading the same old shit on their favorite artists thus declaring their independence from the normal reporting world of the AP. The festivities occurred at Exit on July 3, 2005.

As guest DJ’s Karma E., Sharita L., & Erika Kristen spun a little old, a little new and a lot of local Chicago bands too. Sample list: Susperia, Dark Tranquillity,  Siouxsie & Banshees, Ministry, SOiL, Skank, Disturbed, LSD, Wildside, Behemoth, Evergrey, Caliban... of course we honored a shitload of requests!!

Giveaways courtesy of Century Media, Relapse Records, Victory Records, and a commemorative copy of our setlist was and still is available, we also had artists posters as well.

FourteenG, the E-zine remains the web’s best kept secret, until now! A site dedicated to the fan of metal where a spotlight is shined upon the humanity of the highlighted artist. Featuring some of today's hottest acts as well as putting an accent on the dwellers of the underground - good, bad or indifferent through interviews, live concert reviews, and much more… Serving metal to you the only way we know how: Raw, Rough, and Real! 

PS And for all you who could not make it to our 1^st birthday soiree who were either on tour, in another city/country or god forbid, choosing to spend time with your other family and not with your metal family, you can STILL make a donation to the:  Buy a bitch a drink fund! It does cost money to keep hangin' with you metalheads, at least we are not asking you to help pay for the site!
